About Eassy Competition
Theme : Contemporary challenges in Disarmament and Non-proliferation.
Suggested Topics:
- The future of non-proliferation and/or disarmament through hard law and/or soft law
- Risks posed by rapidly advancing technologies (cyber space, outer space, artificial intelligence) in international humanitarian law
- Prioritizing gender in arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation
Authors are invited to describe challenges from a legal standpoint and propose potential policy recommendations on a selected topic Analysis from local, national and regional perspectives on selected topics are encouraged.
Submission Guidelines :
- Word limit: 2500 words (excluding footnotes)
- Applicants age group: 17-25 years as on essay submission
- Open to all students from law and/or policy backgrounds within India
- Only one entry per participant, previously unpublished work only
- No joint submissions permitted
- Due to zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism, all sources must be cited
- Visas for travel are not guaranteed. Organizers will provide administrative support for the process

3rd Prize: INR 5000
Winner (1st Prize Winner) will get a chance to attend an international event in Europe coordinated by SIPRI or the EU Non-proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC)”. Travel, accommodation and visa application cost included
Note :In case of unforeseeable travel restrictions due to Covid-19, provisions will be made for the winner to attend an event hosted by SIPRI or the EUNPDC in-person at a later date.
