About Advocate Jagannath Nanda-Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of India is the highest judicial forum and final court of appeal under the Constitution of India, the highest constitutional court, with the power of constitutional review. Consisting of the Chief Justice of India and 30 other judges, it has extensive powers in the form of original, appellate and advisory jurisdictions. As the final court of appeal of the country, it takes up appeals primarily against verdicts of the High Courts of various states of the Union and other courts and tribunals.
About the Legal Internship Opportunity
Advocate Jagannath Nanda-Supreme Court is looking for a long term Law Intern:
Eligibility
Preference would be given to Non-NLU students; cause NLU grads anyways will have opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work distribution: ~70% Corporate, 30% Litigation
Location
Almost Remote but, if someone’s in Delhi it might be an added advantage for Court appearances sometimes. However, it’s not mandatory.
Stipend
Initially unpaid. But eventually as someone starts delivering value & handling work, pay would be proportionate to productivity; as always has been the case in the chamber.
Duration of Internship
People looking at 1-2 months may not apply.
