About the ‘NLIU-CyberPeace Talk on Data Privacy’

CyberPeace Foundation plans to hold consultations with the academia, especially the young netizens, on their understanding of Data Privacy and Data Protection. The learnings from ground will be compiled as a White Paper which shall be submitted to the government while adhering to data confidentiality norms.

The NLIU Cell for Law and Technology is organizing a panel discussion in collaboration with CyberPeace Foundation – the NLIU-CyberPeace Talk on Data Privacy. The panellists include Mr Vineet Kumar, Founder, CyberPeace Foundation, Mr Rajinder K Vij, Former Director General of Police, Chhattisgarh and Mr Santosh Sharma, Bandhan Bank.

The ‘NLIU-CyberPeace Talk on Data Privacy’, which is the 10th Episode of the CLT TalkShows, is scheduled to be held from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM on 09 November 2022, Wednesday. All participants shall be awarded a Certificate of Participation.

Submission of Opinion

Participants may also submit an opinion on the question – ‘Whether withdrawal of the Data Protection Bill by the government is pragmatic?’. Submission of opinion is not compulsory for participating in the Talk. The three best submissions shall be published on our Blog for Law and Technology and the authors shall be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for the same.

The Talk shall be conducted in a hybrid mode. Students from law colleges in Bhopal shall have the opportunity to attend the Talk physically at the NLIU Campus while students of other law colleges and universities may attend it online. All the participants are requested to fill the registration form and/or submit their ‘Opinion’ by 31 October 2022 (Monday). The link to join the Talk shall be emailed to all the registered candidates.
