About the Legal Internship Opportunity
HRF is looking for a Legal and Policy Intern to provide research and writing support on projects relevant to HRF’s mission.
Responsibilities
The Legal and Policy intern will provide research and writing support on projects relevant to HRF’s mission statement. This includes, but is not limited to, drafting submissions to the UN Human Rights Council, conducting research for HRF’s political regime research project, drafting legal and policy briefs and memos on topics related to HRF’s countries of focus, and working on identifying potential speakers and topics for discussion at HRF’s annual conference, the Oslo Freedom Forum.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented law school student from an accredited law school, graduate student, or recent graduate with a background in political science, international relations, comparative politics, human rights, and/or international law.
- Highly-qualified undergraduate students will also be considered for the position. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
- Exposure to democratization literature is an asset, but not required.
Stipend
Yes. $2,500/month [Rs 2,05,000 i.e. 2.05 Lakhs] for full time.
They are looking to fill a full-time internship, but if you are a great fit and can only do part-time work because of class commitments, you will be considered. Part-time work will be prorated accordingly.
