CONCEPT NOTE
Environmental conservation is facing complex, non-linear, and cross-scale challenges against the background of global environmental change, and it is of great importance to have a clear recognition of environmental governance. The rules, practices, policies, and institutions that shapes human’s interaction with the environment are referred to as environmental governance. Good environmental governance takes into account the roles of everyone who affects the environment. Human societies must alter their course and avoid critical tipping points that could result in rapid and irreversible change while also ensuring sustainable livelihoods for all. The urgent challenge from a social science perspective is how to organize the co-evolution of societies and their surrounding environment, or, in other words, how to develop effective and equitable governance solutions for today’s global problems. Mechanisms, both institutional and non-institutional, for ensuring that the long-term sustenance of environmental resources is not hampered in any way, therefore assume a greater importance. Institutions include both government and non-government organizations.

(Unitedworld School Of Law)UWSL is duly recognized by the Bar Council of India and is imparting high quality legal education in the state of Gujarat for more than half a decade. UWSL offers interdisciplinary law programs like B.A.LL. B (Hons.), BB.A.LL.B. (Hons.) with specializations in IPR, Business Law, Criminal Law, International Law, LL.M. as well as doctoral programs.
UWSL conducted an, “International Interdisciplinary Conference On Covid-19 & Its Impact On Human Right” on 27th August 2022. More than 200 papers were submitted, with 100 chosen for presentation at the conference. Participating delegates were from around the world, including Taiwan, Indonesia, the USA, and Nepal. Some of the issues dealt with in the conference included- impact of Covid-19 on migrant laborers, trade, business and economy, underprivileged children, working of the judiciary, education system, healthcare and many more. Selected papers have been sent for publication to Scopus-indexed journals and furthermore, many articles have been shortlisted for publication in UWSL Journal of Law
