After a three-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the School of Law of the University of Geneva (UNIGE) is very pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the IP Researchers Europe Conference (IPRE) 2023, which will be held in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO),
The IPRE 2023 will take place in person in Geneva on Thursday, 29 June 2023, at WIPO and on Friday, 30 June 2023, at WTO.
Submission and Deadline
Academic researchers who are interested in presenting at the IPRE 2023 should submit their application by emailing the following information/documents to [email protected]
- A title and short abstract of the paper or work-in-progress (500 words or less) submitted as a Word or PDF document.
- Academic affiliation, including a short bio (200 words or less) as a Word or PDF document. A recent picture should be included as part of their bio submission.
Please indicate “Application to IPRE 2023” in the email subject line.
The deadline to submit the application to present at the IPRE 2023 is Monday, 20 March 2023.
The IPRE Organizers will send notifications to accepted applicants by early April 2023.
Accepted applicants will need to confirm their participation to the Conference no later than 30 April 2023.
Schedule
The First Day of IPRE 2023 will be Thursday, 29 June 2023.
The Conference will start at 9 a.m. and end at 6.00 p.m. On the First Day, the Conference will take place at the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The Second Day of IPRE 2023 will be Friday, 30 June 2023. The Conference will again start at 9 a.m. and end at 1.00 p.m. On the Second Day, the Conference will take place at the World Trade Organization.
Please note that IPRE 2023 will be an in-person-only Conference.
The Organizers plan (subject to further indications depending on the number of presenters/format of the event) that each presenter will have approx. 25-30 minutes for the presentation and comments/questions from the audience. Presenters should plan to reserve sufficient time for comments/questions.
All presenters are strongly encouraged to attend the entire Conference (i.e., Thursday and Friday).
The TRIPS@25 Symposium will take place at the World Trade Organization after the conclusion of the IPRE 2023.
Cost
There are no costs or registration fee for the participation to the IPRE 2023.
However, presenters are expected to cover their own travel-related and accommodation expenses. They will also be responsible for obtaining and covering the costs related to their travel, visa(s) and any other necessary travel documents.
There are also no costs or registration fee for the participation to the TRIPS@25 Symposium.
