About SFLC.in
SFLC.in is the first Indian legal services organization that works exclusively on technology, law, and policy. As a not-for-profit organization engaged in the empowerment of Indian citizens about their digital freedom and rights, it operates as a collective bringing together different stakeholders to a common platform to further the cause of digital rights.
SFLC.in’s Premier Fellowship program aims to provide a platform for India’s top technology and policy thinkers, to understand the different stakeholders in the tech-policy ecosystem.
Who should apply?
It welcomes applications from a law graduate with at least One (1) year experience in research and policy analysis at our office in New Delhi. We seek candidates with excellent research skills, openness to new ideas, and a commitment to contribute to organizational mission. Candidates fluent in both English and Hindi would be preferred.
Work and Responsibility
Contribute to the research of mapping of different tech-policy ecosystems in India. Conduct research and policy analysis on of different stakeholders across India under different ecosystems
in India.
Conduct case studies on laws pertaining to Information Technology, Data Privacy, Data Protection and
Intellectual Property Rights.
Research and contribute to research papers, articles, opinion pieces, and other miscellaneous literature
on issues such as privacy, data protection, free speech and net neutrality and others;
Analyse laws and policies in the areas of technology law, human rights law, and Intellectual Property Rights
to develop well informed organizational view points;

Application Process:
Step I: Interested candidates should submit the following documents to apply @sflc.in
A resume or CV, along with two writing samples
A statement of interest describing the following:
– Your interest in joining the Fellowship program.
– Your interest in the tech-policy laws and policies.
Step II: Candidates who qualify the round will undergo an assessment, details of which shall be
communicated via e-mail.
Step III: We will invite the short-listed candidates for an interview with the SFLC.in appointed Selection Committee.

Applications will be accepted until June 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Indian Standard Time). Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
