The National elocution competition is being organised by GALTER to provide a platform to students and researchers to showcase their ability to communicate effectively and persuasively. Elocution is the art of clear and expressive speech, which involves the proper use of tone, inflection, and intonation. In this competition, participants will be judged on their ability to convey a message or idea effectively through spoken words.
Details Of The Competition
- Objective: To encourage individuals to improve their communication skills and to express themselves confidently and persuasively & to foster creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and succinctly.
- Date of the event: 21st-22nd July 2023
- Mode: Online mode
- Eligibility: The competition is open to all students pursing graduation in any course, who have a passion for public speaking and wish to showcase their elocution skills. Students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any stream can participate in the elocution competition.

- Judging criteria: Participants will be judged on their ability to communicate their message effectively, their use of language, tone, and inflection, their confidence, and their overall presentation. Judges will evaluate each participant based on the following criteria:
- Content – The clarity and coherence of the message, the use of persuasive language and arguments, and the relevance to the topic.
- Delivery – The use of tone, inflection, and body language to convey the message, the ability to engage the audience, and the overall confidence and presence of the speaker.
- Originality – The uniqueness and creativity of the speech, the use of personal experiences and anecdotes to illustrate the message, and the ability to capture the audience’s attention.

- Awards: The top participants will be awarded prizes, including cash prizes, and certificates of achievement. Additionally, the competition will provide participants with an opportunity to develop their communication skills, improve their confidence, and gain valuable experience in public speaking.
