About the Role 

The Postdoctoral Fellowship provides an opportunity to work closely with the Director and Professor of Indigenous Studies on ARC funded projects. The successful candidate will conduct research aligned with the Indigenous Studies Program’s mission, demonstrating expertise in Indigenous Studies, interdisciplinary research, and collaboration with Indigenous communities and organisations. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Conduct and assist a current program of research centred ARC projects involving the Director and Professor, Indigenous Studies Program 
  • Engage proactively with the Indigenous Studies Program and the Faculty of Arts community, leadership, fellows, associates, doctoral group and visitors 
  • Contribute to championing and fostering research in the field of Indigenous Studies in the Faculty of Arts

About You 

You will have strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, an interest in building academic relationships and partnerships in Indigenous Studies, and maintain professional behaviour aligned with the Faculty’s Values and Behaviours. 

You will also have: 

  • PhD in a relevant Humanities and Social Sciences discipline or near completion of a PhD thesis 
  • A collaborative or emerging research profile of work in Indigenous Studies aligned to the Program’s work 
  • Emerging track record of research publications engaged with Indigenous Studies and debates
