ABOUT THE COMPETITION:
The National elocution competition is being organised by GALTER. The competition is being organised to provide a platform to students and researchers to showcase their ability to communicate effectively and persuasively. Elocution is the art of clear and expressive speech, which involves the proper use of tone, inflection, and intonation. In this competition, participants will be judged on their ability to convey a message or idea effectively through spoken words.
The primary objective of this competition is to encourage individuals to improve their communication skills and to express themselves confidently and persuasively. The competition aims to foster creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and succinctly.
Who can participate:
The competition is open to all students pursing graduation in any course, who have a passion for public speaking and wish to showcase their elocution skills. Students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any stream can participate in the elocution competition. Language of the Competition: nglish Mode of Competition: Online mode

The top participants will be awarded prizes, including cash prizes, and certificates of achievement. Additionally, the competition will provide participants with an opportunity to develop their communication skills, improve their confidence, and gain valuable experience in public speaking.

Two Consolation Prizes- Rs. 1000/- each
RULES FOR THE COMPETITION:
- The elocution competition will take place in two rounds.
• July 21st & 22d 2023 – Round 1 will be a preliminary qualifying round and the winners will qualify for Round 2.
• Round 2 will be the main round. The shortlisted candidates, as per Jury’s decision will be eligible for Round2. The date of round 2 will be notified later. - The participants will be given a topic 10 minutes before their turn on which he/she will have to speak and express opinion. Any topic from the broad list given below may be given to the elocution.
- Each participant will be given a time limit not exceeding 08 8 minutes to speak on the subject. A warning bell will be given after 6 minutes and a final bell after 08 minutes. If the participants exceed the allocated time than the marks will be deducted at the discretion of the judges.
- The decision of the judges as regards the result of the competition will be the final and binding.
- The organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action for any unethical, unprofessional and immoral conduct
- The organizer’s decision regarding interpretation of rules or any other matter related to competition will be final.
- If there is any situation not contemplated in the rules, the organizer’s decision on the same shall be final.
- A five-digit Unique code shall be mailed to the participants whose registration has been completed.

In no circumstances, registration fee will be refunded back in case of non-participation.
