ULisboa is currently Portugal’s largest University and one of Europe’s largest. The International Mediation Competition – MediateWise aims to provide a unique opportunity for university students to develop their skills in mediation and advocacy. Hosted by the Lisbon University, Faculty of Law, the event offers a comprehensive training course in mediation during the first two days, followed by the General Rounds from July 26th to 29th, 2023. The competition concludes with the Semi-Final and Final Rounds on July 30th, 2023.
In today’s world, mediation of disputes has become an increasingly popular approach to resolving conflicts in an amicable manner. With the recent changes and our continued reliance on online platforms, the competition emphasizes the significance of online advocacy and mediation techniques. Participants will receive guidance from professional mediators following the CEDR Model Mediation Procedure (2020).
