About KSLU, Karnataka State Law University
Karnataka State Law University was established in the State of Karnataka in 2009, with the avowed purpose of providing quality legal education.It is only one of its kind and is the single largest Law University in the country,affiliating 108 law colleges including its own Law School at the main campus in Hubballi. It is making all efforts to professionally orient students by including appropriate components for the promotion of legal education in Karnataka.
The Karnataka State Law University Journal (KSLU) is bi-annual and within a short span of time it has achieved wide recognition due to the quality and diversity of Articles published. The peer-reviewed, faculty-edited KSLU Journal promotes inter-disciplinary and empirical discussion on diverse areas of law and welcomes submission of quality Articles, Notes and Comments and Book Reviews on emerging issues, KSLU Journal would seek to invite contributions from eminent legal luminaries, academicians, practitioners and scholars.
Details Of The Opportunity
- SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:
- Article: An Article should focus on current legal issues. The word limit for an Article is between 4000 to 8000 words excluding footnotes.
- Book Review: A book review should focus on any book on the themes of law, society and justice. The word limit for book review is between 1000 to 4000 words.
- Short Articles, Notes and Comments: Short Article, Notes and Comments should focus on any legal issue, legislation, landmark judgment etc. the word limit for Short Article and Comments is between 1000 to 4000 words.
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 31st July 2023
- SUBMISSION PROCESS:
- All the submissions must be made to [email protected] with the subject, “Submission KSLU LAW JOURNAL Volume XI ” on or before 31st July, 2023.
- Please note that the procedures for reviewing manuscripts are based on the anonymity of the author and the confidentiality of the editors’ and reviewers’ reports; author anonymity is preserved, as well, during the editorial decision-making process.
- SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- All submissions must be original and not plagiarised from any sources. Plagiarism of any sort will result in immediate disqualification.
- The title of the Paper must be appropriate. The cover page of the paper must contain the title and the details of the authors. The name of the author should be followed by footnote mark () for the first author and (*) for the second author.
- Co-authorship is allowed to a maximum of 2 authors.
- The footnotes should give educational qualifications and the institutional details of the contributor/s.
- Citations should be in the form of footnotes as per the style of the Indian Law Institute (Refer previously published KSLU Law Journals in KSLU Website by CLICK HERE ).
- The word limit for the Abstract is 500 words.
- All submissions of Article/Notes and Comments/Books Reviews should be typed in font “Times New Roman”, font size 12, Spacing 1.5 and justified. Footnotes cited in the manuscript should be typed in in font “Times New Roman”, font size 10, Spacing 1 and justified.
