CALL FOR CHAPTERS Edited Book on Disruptive Technologies and the Law: Navigating Legal Challenges in an Era of Innovation
We are pleased to invite contributions for an upcoming edited book titled “Disruptive Technologies and the Law” which will be published by a reputed publisher. This book aims to provide a comprehensive and cutting-edge exploration of the latest developments, challenges, and breakthroughs presented the emergence of Disruptive Technology. The Editors view Disruptive Technologies as innovations that significantly alter or revolutionize existing industries, markets, and paradigms by introducing new products, services, or processes that challenge the status quo and displace established technologies.
SUGGESTED THEMES
We welcome original contributions addressing a wide spectrum of topics related to Disruptive Technologies and their interaction with the law.
Chapters may involve a thorough examination based on but not limited to the following broad themes.
• Introduction to Artificial Intelligence as a Disruptive Technology – Setting the legal agenda:
a) Arriving at a legal definition of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges
b) Governance and Regulatory issues surrounding artificial intelligence.
c) Personhood for Artificial Intelligence: Approaches and possible challenges
d) Artificial Intelligence: Possibilities and Challenges
• Interaction of Disruptive Technology and Intellectual Property:
a) Paradigm shifts within the field of Intellectual Property by Artificial Intelligence,
b) Authorship and Ownership of works created by AI – Copyright and Trademark challenges,
c) AI and AI enabled creation and the Law of Patents and Designs
The abstracts and the chapters may be submitted to the following Google Form.

➢ Notification of Acceptance: Within 3 days of such submission of abstract or by 20 September 2023
➢ Full Chapter Submission Deadline: 29 October 2023
➢ Review and Feedback Communication: 15 November 2023
➢ Revised Manuscript Submission Deadline (if needed after review): 20 November 2023
➢ Expected Publication Date: December 2023
