Bridge is a student led initiative at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, which aims to strengthen the student aid mechanism of the institute. The initiative raises funds from Alumni, CSRs and other individuals for bright and diverse minds so that lack of financial resources does not prevent their academic mobility in any way. To date, Bridge has supported 50+ students with financial aid to help them graduate debt free.
The Scholarship campaign by Bridge aims to further expand the student aid mechanism at TISS by providing an opportunity for alums (individual or group), CSR, non-profits, other individuals and organizations to establish scholarships for students. The campaign envisages increasing the number of scholarships available to TISS students and encourages the TISS community to support the current students in their educational journey.
The alumni can decide to initiate this scholarship individually or along with their batchmates friends from TISS or other individuals. The selection mechanism and eligibility criteria can be decided by the Alumni funding the scholarship in consultation with TISS admin and Bridge team.
Under this campaign, Bridge will facilitate institutionalization of the scholarships at TISS and will create mechanisms to provide mentoring and guidance to students in their career and further education.
