The Girls Advisory Council is a unique platform where girls aged 14-22 from around the world collaborate virtually to ensure that girls’ voices are at the forefront of She’s the First’s initiatives. Council members work closely with STF staff, board members, and students to provide valuable insights into STF programs and find innovative ways to expand our reach and influence.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with a diverse group of girls representing the communities we serve.
- Work closely with STF staff, board members, and students.
- Act as ambassadors during your tenure, participating in campaigns, advocacy efforts, online events, and engagement.
- Two members will serve as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the Girls Advisory Council.
Who Can Apply:
- Identifies as a girl, including those with gender-nonconforming, genderfluid, and transfeminine experiences, aged 14-22.
- Comfortable with English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Passionate about She’s the First, girls’ rights, or social justice.
Commitment:
- 1-3 hours per month from December 2023 to December 2024.
- Participation in monthly Council meetings and virtual STF events.
- Sharing STF initiatives with your online community.
- Providing input and suggestions in the WhatsApp group.
