About the University:
Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU, Nagpur) was established by the
Government of Maharashtra by way of enactment known as the Maharashtra National Law
University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014). Hon’ble Shri Justice Bhushan R. Gavai,
Judge, Supreme Court of India, is the Chancellor of the University. It is a residential
University engaged in teaching and promoting research in law and allied disciplines. The
University is making all possible efforts to bring up state-of-the-art facilities. The
University has a competent team of faculty members and staff, who are qualified,
experienced, committed, and full of zeal to create an institution of excellence in legal
education in the country.
About the Course :
The University is determined towards its commitment for continuous
development in the field of legal and justice education with its
competent and professional team of students, faculty members,
administration, and collaborations. However, the University also
recognises that there are individuals who could not complete their
higher education in Law as first preference or first degree, due to
various reasons. Therefore, the University is offering a NonResidential One-Year LL.M. (Postgraduate) Degree Course for
Executives with multidisciplinary approach towards laws and other
disciplines of knowledge for the executives. It is an attempt to spread
out the quality legal education to those who could not obtain or
continue with their higher education in Law owing to personal,
financial, and/or professional commitments.
Eligibility :
- Three (3) years or five (5) years Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.)
or an equivalent degree with a minimum of Fifty (50) percent marks
or its equivalent grade from a recognised University/Institution of
higher education in case of candidates belonging to
General/OBC/PWD categories and Forty-Five (45) percent marks
or its equivalent grade from a recognised University/Institution of
higher education in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST
categories. - No Upper age Limit.
Admission Process :
Eligible Candidate will be admitted to the course as per the merit list
of Entrance Test conducted by the University.
Duration of the Course : - The Course is offered for a period of an Academic Year from
October 2023 to September 2024.
Mode of Conduct : - Classes will be conducted in hybrid mode (online and physical).
- Classes will be conducted only on Saturdays, Sundays, or Evening
on Weekdays.
Total Number of Seats :
The total number of seats are 60. However, the University reserves the right to alter the
number of seats for the course in the given Academic Year without prior notice.
FEE STRUCTURE :
Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs.2,000/- (Two Thousand Rupees Only).
Course Fee: Rs.1,51,000/- (One Lakh Fifty-One Thousand Rupees Only).
The Course fee is inclusive of admission fee, tuition fees, and library. It does not
include lodging and boarding charges.
Refund Policy: If the candidate opt to cancel the admission and communicate the
same to the University within Ten (10) days from the date of admission, full refund of
fee after deducting administrative charges shall be made. However, no refund shall be
made after the given period of Ten (10) days.
