Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Research:
– Conduct research on relevant legal issues impacting the venture capital industry.
– Summarize and analyze legal developments, providing concise reports for the team.
2. Contract Review:
– Assist in reviewing and analyzing legal documents, including investment agreements, term sheets, and other transactional documents.
– Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
3. Due Diligence:
– Support the legal team in due diligence processes for potential investments.
– Compile and organize legal documentation for review by senior legal professionals.
4. Document Drafting:
– Assist in drafting and editing legal documents and correspondence.
– Collaborate with the legal team to create templates and streamline document processes.
5. Administrative Support:
– Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.
– Maintain organized and up-to-date legal files and documentation.
Qualifications:
– Currently enrolled in a law school program or recent law school graduate.
– Strong academic record with a focus on business law or related areas.
– Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
– Familiarity with venture capital and startup legal concepts is a plus.
