Background
In the intersection of law and societal issues, legal education is crucial, particularly in addressing contemporary challenges like climate change. With the growing relevance of climate justice, the Van Vollenhoven Institute at Leiden University embarks on a pioneering project to evaluate “Law School Responses to Climate Justice, ” focusing on case studies from India and The Netherlands. This workshop, as the first phase of the project, aims to assess current practices in law schools concerning climate justice.
Way Forward: The workshop initiates a multi-phase project. Following this event, Phase 2 will concentrate on policy drafting, and Phase 3 will involve the implementation of these policies. Participating law schools may be considered for involvement in subsequent phases, subject to certain conditions.
