To strengthen our India Legal team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, self-propelling Legal Counsel to cater to business needs as well as to other departments.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of all the corporate laws including Companies Act, RBI compliance, etc.
- Honesty and integrity with highest standard of ethics is essential.
- Candidate based in Mumbai /Gurgaon / Delhi region may apply

Key-responsibilities
- Ability to handle volume of litigation and streamline the pending matter. Must have experience for handling lower Courts cases as well as handling matters at High Courts, Supreme Courts & various Tribunals
- Must ensure effective cost control through hard negotiations while hiring external lawyer.
- Collaborating with Manager for the implementation of and compliance with processes, policies, and training, including those related to the FCPA/ Anti-Bribery, GDPR, Competition laws and Code of Ethics, etc.
- Ensure that the Manager and other stakeholders are timely made aware of legal issues, risks, and proposed solutions where there is a risk of material impact on the Company’s financial, operational, and reputational results.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements keeping in mind the best interest of the company.
- Support and assist Manager for the handling of claims and/or internal investigations.
- To the extend assigned by the Manger to Partner with other functions for any specific legal issues
- Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the Company in its operating area /sector and industry
- Engaging with stakeholders to implement and manage the compliance tool and ensure timely statutory compliances by the Company and its subsidiaries
- Assisting and supporting Manager for various internal stakeholder meetings, corporate governance issues, etc.

You bring
- Min. qualification – LLB (Desirable – LLM / CS)
- Min 8 years of relevant experience as in-house legal counsel and/or at a law firm handling Company matter.
- Strong proficiency in the English language.
- Excellent knowledge of all the corporate laws including Companies Act, RBI compliance, etc.
