Your Role
As an Intern in the Legal Department, you will play a pivotal role under the guidance of the General Counsel, contributing to the development of a cutting-edge legal operations program for our esteemed legal team. This is a high-impact position with visibility across the organization, where you will be instrumental in implementing modern strategies and processes.
A Day in the Life
- Develop actionable and user-friendly analytic reports for the legal department, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Utilize existing company technology to construct template intake forms and automate agreement creation, streamlining operational efficiency.
- Assist in establishing a comprehensive legal hub in Jira, enabling self-service, intake forms, and providing answers to key questions.
- Manage department systems, ensuring information is up-to-date, and implement daily data maintenance for cleanliness and accuracy.
- Coordinate communication between legal and compliance teams in India and the US to eliminate information gaps.
- Organize and maintain legal department document drives, upholding information governance standards.
- Code incoming invoices from law firms for clarity and transparency on legal spend, while implementing a review process for outside law firms.
- Collaborate with the deal desk and sales team to establish two-way automated reporting on priorities for enhanced efficiency.
- Implement integrated, user-friendly, and analytic contract management protocols.
What You Need
- Recent Law graduate from a Tier I or Tier II law school of batch 2023 or 2024
- Must be available for full-time 3-months duration internship
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze large volumes of information, identify relevant facts, and propose viable solutions.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Research Skills: Strong research capabilities.
