About Advocate Prashant Meharchandani
Law Professional having demonstrated experience in Litigation with specialisation in Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and International Tax Laws. Prashant has been appointed as Sr. Standing Counsel for the Income Tax Department to represent them before Delhi HC and other fora in New Delhi. Prior to his appointment by the Income Tax Department, Prashant had successfully represented clients like BBC, Swarovski, Sharp, GVK, Crompton Greaves, Faurecia, Principal Global Services, Ixia Technologies etc. before Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and DRP across Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, etc. on diverse issues relating to Transfer Pricing, International Tax and Corporate Tax including the issues of Software-Royalty, Section 14A disallowances, determination of ALP, etc. Prashant has also assisted and briefed Senior Arguing Counsels in high stake litigation matters for clients like Optum, Concentrix, GAP, Diageo, Swarovski, Disney Broadcasting, Hinduja, Crompton Greaves, etc. before various judicial forums across the country.

What to expect:
- Exposure to various issues in Direct Tax Litigation by way of preparing briefing notes, research work, etc.;
- First hand experience of drafting income tax appeals and counter affidavits to writ petitions;
- Attending Court Hearings either in person or via virtual mode basis your daily college/study schedule
Who should consider:
- CA aspirants or Fresher CAs (pursuing law or who wish to pursue law in the near future)
