Call for papers One-Day Conference on Disability Engagements in English Studies at Delhi University: A retrospect and prospects!
This is to inform that the Department of English proposes to hold a One-day conference involving students and faculty members on the theme “Disability Engagements in English Studies at Delhi University: A retrospect and prospects.” The conference will interrogate the path Disability Studies have taken in the curriculum both at the postgraduate and the undergraduate levels, the texts and the pedagogy involved in carrying forward our engagement with Disability Studies in syllabi and the way forward in this respect.
Theme
“Disability Engagements in English Studies at Delhi University: A retrospect and prospects.”
Eligibilty
The papers are invited from MA students of the Department of English, University of Delhi on the above themes and text/s which are prescribed in the syllabi particularly with reference to their socio-cultural context and genres to which these belong such as fiction, poetry, drama etc.
Submission Guideline
The papers must be of approximately 2000-2200 words and abstracts of around 250-300 words should be submitted to [email protected] latest by 20th February, 2024.
Important Dates
Those whose abstracts are selected will be informed by email latest by 27th February, 2024 and in such cases, the full papers will be required to submit latest by 6th march, 2024. The conference will be tentatively held on 13th march, 2024 but this date is subject to change.
