The UM Postgraduate Law Society is hosting the inaugural Universiti Malaya Law Conference 2024 on 25th May 2024. This Conference aims to provide a platform for scholars, early career researchers and postgraduate students to engage with the legal developments in the 21st century, the implications of digital transformation to the law and other related topics.
Sub Themes
We welcome original research articles that examine the dynamics of law and development in light of digital transformation and societal changes in the 21st century. The scope of this Conference includes, but is not limited to the following topics: –
• From Crisis to Reform: Challenges of Constitutional and Administrative Law in the PostPandemic Era • Information Revolution and the Implications for Human Rights in the 21st Century
• The Future of Law: Tech, AI & Big Data
Submission Information
We invite interested speakers to submit an abstract of 500 words by the end of business day on 14 March 2024 via the designated UMPGLS Conference Google Form here.
The abstract should include the author’s name, affiliation, and email address. We expect abstracts, papers, and presentations in the English language. Manuscripts must not have been previously published, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Important deadlines:
- Due date for Abstract submission: 14 March 2024
- Notification of Acceptance: 21 March 2024
- Due date for Full Papers: 24 April 2024
- Final Selection of Speakers: 14 May 2024
Please note that all conference papers will be uploaded and shared with all participants of the Conference. Awards will be given to speakers with outstanding conference papers.
