We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Legal and Compliance department based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The Legal team is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving legal issues and risks for the firm. The team handles matters relating to contract review, transactional and real estate legal support, litigation, employment, and intellectual property.
What You’ll Do Day-to-day
In this role, you will be reviewing a variety of trading agreements/documentation. You will be required to review, draft and negotiate agreements for goods and services, consulting agreements, engagement letters and non-disclosure agreements with potential counterparties and vendors. Additionally, you will also get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D. E. Shaw group on various agreements and miscellaneous projects
Who We’re Looking For
- The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Law while a Master’s degree will be an added advantage
- Candidate should have an impressive record of academic achievements along with 3 to 4 years of experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts
- Candidates familiar with trading agreements will have an added advantage
- The ideal candidate should possess superior organizational and analytical ability, outstanding judgment, a keen attention to detail, and proven drafting, communication, and project management skills
