The National Forensic Sciences University erstwhile Gujarat
Forensic Sciences University is the world’s first and only University
dedicated to Forensic and allied Sciences. It was established with
the objective to facilitate and promote studies and research and
to achieve excellence in the field of forensic science in
conjunction with applied behavioural science studies.
Considering the role, importance and contribution of erstwhile
GFSU, the Government of India elevated GFSU as NFSU under the
Ministry of Home Affairs also accorded a special status of “An
Institution of National Importance”.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The Centre for Child Advocacy, School of Law Forensic Justice &
Policy Studies, NFSU, in collaboration with the National
Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is organising a
Workshop on Child Centric Approaches in India where legal
Professionals, Advocates, Academicians, and Research Scholars
from different domains who are working in the field of Child
Rights and Advocacy. The primary objective of the event is to
explore judicial remedies and speedy justice system for children.
Which include crucial role of judiciary in investigation, legal
proceedings and overall administration of Justice. By fostering
dialogue, deliberation and collaboration between the
stakeholders it will contribute to the advancement of child safety
and transparency with fairness in administration of justice.
