Artificial intelligence (AI) promises immense benefits for security intelligence by enabling more accurate threat detection, analysis of complex data, and informed decision making. However, AI also poses significant ethical and legal challenges regarding issues of transparency, bias, privacy, and regulation.
This edited book will provide an authoritative, research-based guide for security professionals seeking to effectively leverage AI while proactively addressing its ethical and legal implications. We welcome contributions from academics, practitioners, and policy experts working at the cutting edge of AI implementation, ethics, and governance.
Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
• Responsible development of AI for security intelligence
• Mitigating bias and ensuring fairness in AI systems
• Transparent and explainable AI models
• AI and privacy/surveillance concerns
• Government regulation of AI in national security
• International governance of AI as military or dual-use technology
• Case studies of legal/ethical issues arising from real-world AI security projects
The book will be oriented towards providing practical guidance to security managers and policymakers. Contributors should aim for an authoritative yet accessible writing style suitable for a professional, non-technical readership. form for submission
