The Journal of West Asian Studies delves into themes critical to West Asia’s socio-political, economic, cultural, and historical landscape. Key themes include political dynamics, economic development, social and cultural studies, historical perspectives, security and strategic studies, and environmental and sustainability issues. The journal covers governance, regional conflicts, economic policies, natural resources, social movements, cultural heritage, gender studies, ancient to modern history, security threats, and environmental challenges. Its scope spans the Middle East, Arabian Peninsula, and Eastern Mediterranean, encouraging interdisciplinary research, contemporary relevance, theoretical and empirical contributions, policy implications, and academic rigour. The journal integrates perspectives from political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, history, and environmental studies, promoting methodological diversity and high peer-reviewed standards.
