About the Competition

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) reshapes various sectors, the legal field stands out with transformative changes. “Global Academy of Law-Tech Education & Research” (GALTER) is organizing a Reel-Making Competition. This reel-making competition calls for creative interpretations of AI’s impact on legal practices, decision-making, justice delivery systems, and ethical standards. The competition aims to encourage creativity and inspire innovative explorations of AI in legal contexts. To foster dialogue promoting discussions on AI’s potential and challenges in law among professionals and the public, and finally, to showcase innovation that highlights the role of AI in automating and enhancing legal processes.

“AI LAWYER: THE NEW ERA OF LEGAL TECH”

Sub-Themes

  • Automation in Practice: From chatbots assisting with legal queries to algorithms that streamline case research.
  • Role of Chat GPT in drafting Pleadings and its admissibility
  • Ethical Implications: Examining AI’s bias, privacy issues, and the need for transparency in legal AI applications.
  • AI and Employment: How AI is reshaping job roles and skills in the legal sector.
  • Regulatory Challenges: Developing laws to govern AI’s integration into legal systems effectively and ethically.

Submission Deadline

  • All entries must be received no later than 11.59 p.m. (IST) on or before June 30, 2024.

Registration Fees

  • Registration Fee: Rs.500/-
  • Early Bird Registration Fee: INR 400/- (For registrations completed by May 30, 2024)

Guidelines

  • Participants have to create a reel video on the theme and sub-themes stipulated above.
  • The maximum time limit for the reel is 120 seconds.
  • The video should be original and creative. For any issue related to copyright infringement, the creator will be held responsible.
  • Only one video per participant is allowed.
  • Individual, as well as group entries (not more than 3 people), are allowed.
  • Students, professionals, influencers, academicians, etc, can participate in this competition.
  • Participants shall be disqualified if they exceed the stipulated time.
  • Participants may register without submitting of video to avail of early bird registration.
  • Participants registered without submission of the video shall submit the video on or before 11.59 p.m. June 30, 2024. Failure to submit a video within the stipulated period the registration to be cancelled and the payment made toward registration will not be refunded.
  • Decisions of the Jury and Organizing Committee shall be final and no further inquiry related to the decision of the Jury and Organizing Committee will be entertained.
  • The video should be original and creative. There should not be any copyright issues.
  • Participants will be solely responsible for any issue related to plagiarism.
  • Any offensive, name-calling, derogatory remarks, and/or regional slang towards any person or community should not be used.
  • Please use one medium of language for the reels. The submissions can be in either English or Hindi.
  • Each Participant will accept only one entry, and a second entry will lead to disqualification.
  • As per Reel format, the video should be made vertically and not horizontally.
  • Videos of winners will be posted on GALTER’s social media pages. GALTER reserves the right to publish Reels in any online media without consulting the maker.
  • Winners will be decided based on Creativity, relevance to the theme, technical quality, and persuasive storytelling.
  • Entries submitted after the deadline may still get featured, but will not be considered for competition.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to bar Entries from containing any infringing, threatening, misleading, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, inflammatory, scandalous, pornographic, or profane content.
