Development Facility (INDEF)
located in DCD’s Reforms and Partnerships for Development Impact (RPDI) Division

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation
comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to
promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the
world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based
international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic, and environmental challenges.

The Innovation for Development Facility works on three main pillars identified to advance innovation for
development.
1. Undertaking research to establish a common understanding of innovation, scaling and related
concepts.
2. Collaborating with DAC members to improve innovation practices and investments as well as their
collaboration with global south partners.
3. Provide a space for peer-learning and knowledge exchange on innovation strategies and good
practices.

Main tasks:

The intern will:
• Engage in discussions on strategy and planning, and contribute with substance, challenge and
ideas.
• Undertake research on development innovation-related topics, including issues related to
organisational management of innovation, measuring the impact of innovation as well as topics
related to development challenges in low- and middle-income countries.
• Agree with the Head of the Innovation for Development Facility on a project that aligns with the
professional interests of the intern and strategic priorities of the team. The intern will be
responsible for producing a work plan and for managing the project over the course of the
internship.
• Support the team with the development and design of products, including presentation decks,
invitations to events and more.
• Conduct other ad hoc tasks related to supporting the work of the Innovation for Development
Facility, including communications support.

Compensation

The intern will receive a monthly living allowance of € 1 000 per month for a full-time internship.
