The COFUND fellowship programme “Migration, Diaspora, Citizenship” at the University of Münster is seeking to fill three positions as

Postdoctoral Research Associates (EU Forscher*in, salary level E 13 TV-L, 100%)

 to commence on 1 May 2025. We are offering the three fixed-term full-time positions until 30 April 2027.

Your tasks:

  • Establish your research with your individual project on “Migration, Diaspora, Citizenship”
  • Collaborate with international experts in the field
  • Actively engage in COFUND activities such as interdisciplinary exchanges and networking opportunities
  • Co-organise events
  • Publish your results and communicate your knowledge to the public
  • Participate in the MDC Training Programme (e. g., colloquium; lecture series; workshops; courses on citizen science, management, ‘idea mining,’ among others)

Our expectations:

  • A completed PhD in one of COFUND’s research areas is required (i.e., in the social sciences or the humanities).
  • The successful candidate must comply with the MSCA Mobility Rule (beneficiaries may not have lived or worked in the host institution’s country for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the submission deadline).
  • Good command of written and spoken English is necessary.
  • Additional eligibility criteria for postdoc fellows also require
    • less than six years of research experience after PhD needed
    • publication of one monograph or three major articles before application for fellowship,
    • project experience, and
    • membership in national and international networks.

  • Contact information, CV, a copy of your PhD certificate
  • Names of two referees
  • Mobility statement (in conformity with MSCA mobility rule)
  • List of publications
  • Project description (working title; 3 key words; 300-word summary; 2,000-word detailed project description; plans for research, dissemination, workshop organisation, and secondments; statement on previous collaborative projects; ethical issues form, self-assessment and strategy)

Please note that the other network partners will also be involved in the selection process and that your documents will be passed on to the other members of the MDC network in this context.
