Call for papers: “Transcending the Binary: Exploring Transgender Rights”! 1 & 2 September, 2024!

The Center for Constitutional Law at DNLU is proud to host a national conference focused on the pivotal topic of transgender rights. Titled ‘Transcending the Binary: Exploring Transgender Rights’, this conference aims to critically examine the legal, social, and cultural dimensions affecting transgender individuals in contemporary India.

Date: 1 & 2 September, 2024

Venue: DNLU Seminar Hall

Our objective is to provide a robust platform for in-depth discourse, analysis, and advocacy on the pressing issues faced by transgender individuals. By bringing together scholars, activists, and legal experts, we aim to explore existing legal frameworks and propose innovative solutions for fostering a more inclusive society.

In addition to keynote sessions and panel discussions, the conference will feature paper presentations by scholars, researchers, and students. Participants are invited to submit original research papers addressing various dimensions of transgender rights. Selected participants will present their papers in a unique format, receiving constructive feedback from an adjudicatory panel for further refinement. The top ten submissions will be published in an edited book with an ISBN number.

Abstracts have to submitted by July 20, 2024.

Join us in this crucial dialogue to better understand and champion the rights and lived experiences of the transgender community.
