The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint a Trainee Solicitor to work in Legal Services. Most of the traineeship will be located within the University’s busy contracts team and involve carrying out legal work on and in relation to (i) the University’s externally funded research arrangements; and (ii) St Andrews Innovation Ltd, a subsidiary company of the University set up to help transform research into world-leading innovation by lending support and resources to nurture early-stage ideas and nourish their development.

 

As part of this role there may also be opportunities to carry out a wider range of legal work within the University, particularly as Legal Services within the University develops. 

 

We are looking for someone who is a team player with the ability to work and build strong relationships with colleagues.  A self-starter, you will possess excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and be able to use your initiative in order to meet deadlines and service standards.
