ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law(RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the RGNUL, Punjab Act, (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Centre of Excellence in legal education in the modern era of globalization and liberalization. RGNUL campus is situated at Sidhuwal, Bhadson Road, Patiala (Punjab) which is about 70 km from Chandigarh. The University acquired approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI) in August 2006. The University got registered with the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and also got recognition under Section 12-B of the UGC Act.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Disputes are a part of human association. Legally speaking, when one person makes a claim against the other based on a certain law or legal principle, and the other person denies the claim, there is a dispute. Mediation as a mechanism for resolution of disputes has been in existence for more than a century. Resolution of disputes by private neutral persons has always found preference in the fiscal world over the time-consuming conventional adversarial methods.
ELIGIBILITY
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent Degree in any discipline from any recognized University; or
- Candidates who complete three years of their 5-Year Integrated Degree Programme are also eligible to apply; or
- Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Graduation are also eligible to apply; or
- 10+2 or equivalent
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Direct Admission is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The duration of the programme is three months. and the Programme is to be completed within 1 year. If the candidate does not pass or complete the course, his/ her enrollment ceases. He will have to register afresh by following the usual procedures prescribed for first admission. His performance at the earlier exams is not carried forward. He will have to redo the entire academic exercise prescribed, in the syllabus.
FEES STRUCTURE
Course fee: Rs. 3500/- + GST
