Call for Papers! “Conference on Child Independent Lawyer”! MNLU, Mumbai! 5th October 2024!
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) is one of the youngest premium law schools of India. Established in 2014, it is committed to promoting quality legal education in India. Since its inception, the University has made sincere efforts to excel in the field of legal research and education and therefore within the span ten years, the University has been able to traverse an arduous yet promising path filled with countless possibilities for the future.
The Centre for Advanced Legal Studies, Training, and Research was established with a vision to bring all academic, research, and training activities relating to existing, contemporary, and futuristic law under the single, unique, and independent umbrella of the department in the Maharashtra National Law University.
The Family Court Bar Association Mumbai is a professional organization registered as a Charity Association dedicated to supporting and representing legal practitioners specializing in family law within the jurisdiction of Mumbai’s Family Courts. The association serves as a vital resource for its members, offering continuing legal education, professional development opportunities, a platform for networking and collaboration and plays a crucial role in advocating for the interests of family law practitioners and their clients.
This conference serves as the penultimate step towards realizing the dream of framing a policy for appointing independent legal representation for children. It is designed to gather inputs from all stakeholders, including child rights experts, lawyers, judges, human rights experts, academicians, and psychologists specializing in child protection. The goal is to create a comprehensive policy that ensures children’s voices are adequately represented in legal proceedings.
