About the University:

IILM was established in 1993, under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. With more than 28+ years of experience in training future entrepreneurs and managers, it has emerged as one of the distinguished Universities in the Delhi NCR area.

The University has been set up under the Uttar Pradesh Private University (Amendment) Act 2022 with a vision is to be Global Inclusive and Responsible and the focus will be on Computer Science and Engineering, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is located in 16-18 knowledge park II Greater Noida, with a built area of over 26 acres known for its state-of-the-art facilities. Apart from Greater Noida, We also have safe and secure campuses in New Delhi and Gurugram.

Event Overview:

Aaroh Oratory Society of IILM University, Greater Noida is proud to announce its Annual National Debate Competition: Parakashtha. This event aims to foster critical thinking, public speaking, and argumentative skills among students from various educational institutions. The competition will provide a platform for participants to engage in thought-provoking debates on the given issue.

Debate Topic:

Is social media a catalyst for criminal behaviour or a tool for crime prevention?

Objectives:

The National Debate Competition aims to:

– Provide a platform for students to develop and showcase their debate skills on significant issues.

– Encourage participants to research, analyze, and articulate their positions on complex topics.

– Facilitate a forum for the exchange of ideas and perspectives among students from diverse backgrounds.

– Foster a culture of intellectual engagement and critical thinking within the academic community.

Eligibility:

Students from various Universities, and Colleges enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate course are eligible to participate in a team of two Students. (One for the Motion and One against the motion). Multiple Teams from a single institute can also participate.

Registration Fees: The registration fee for each team is ₹400, The team shall comprise 2 speakers, one proposing the motion and the other against it.
