CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: UNVEILING ARBITRATION’S (NEW) IDENTITY IN A CHANGING WORLD! ONLINE SYMPOSIUM – 9 MAY 2025!
Conference Theme
In a dynamic world defined by technological and social change, it is crucial to keep hold of the fundamentals of arbitration law. But at the same time, change can reveal that legal principles long thought fundamental have become obsolete. In this online symposium, we will go back to the core principles of arbitration (e.g. party autonomy, consent, privity, due process, independence and impartiality). Are these conceptual cornerstones immutable? Are they currently undergoing certain transformations and shifts? Do we need to radically rethink the basics of arbitration, in light of today’s challenges?
The organisers particularly welcome submissions from early career researchers, including graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Participation is free of charge.
Submission Procedure
Submit your abstract (200-500 words) and a brief bio (100-200 words) via this web form (also available via the QR code at right). The deadline for submissions is 1 November 2024. Accepted presenters will be notified over the course of December 2024. Full draft papers will be due by 14 May 2025, and will be made available to all conference participants.
