Call for Applications! for the post of Principal Research Fellow in International Trade (Fixed Term)!
About the role
This is a senior level position, initially for three years, to which we are looking to recruit a policy focused and experienced economist with knowledge and expertise in the field of international trade. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of policy focused research and a commensurate track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, a track record in funded research and engagement, as well as experience in managing junior researchers and research teams. The candidate must have demonstrable interest in the policy relevance of their work.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- The ability to conduct high quality and impactful academic research in the economics of international trade and integration.
- A strong interest in trade policy, and,
- Willingness to engage with policy makers, stakeholders, and the media;
- Experience in managing projects and teams of researchers;
- The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
Collaboration and teamwork are central to the UKTPO, so being able to work closely with colleagues in a fast-moving and exciting area is vital.
