About the Internship:
Do you aspire to start a career in the human rights field? Then this volunteer internship (hybrid/remote) provides a great opportunity to start! The Bangladesh Campaign of Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) is seeking 5 dedicated interns to join our team. As part of the Bangladesh Campaign, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of activities, including advocacy, research, lobbying, and media engagement. The campaign particularly focuses on the minority rights in Bangladesh and the recognition of the 1971 Bangladesh Genocide. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of human rights awareness and activism and are looking for passionate individuals to join us in this important mission.
Internship Details
• Position: Part-time Volunteer Intern
• Location: The Hague, Netherlands (Remote or Hybrid)
• Duration and Workload: 3 months; 10 hours per week
• Compensation: Volunteer Internship (Any travel related to the internship, i.e., fieldwork or attending conferences, will be compensated; Networking and Training opportunities will be provided for the development of the interns).
Qualifications:
● Strong interest in human rights and social justice
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Proficiency in English (additional languages, especially Bengali, is a plus)
● Experience in media content creation, advocacy, or research is preferred but not required
