CALL FOR PAPERS
FOR THE 11TH PROCEDURE LAW CONFERENCE FROM 5 TO 6 SEPTEMBER 2025 IN TÜBINGEN
SOCIETY IN CHANGE – PROCEDURAL LAW IN CHANGE?!
“Nothing is as constant as change” (Heraclitus of Ephesus) – we have always found this in social and legal discourse. In the face of global changes in the world we know, the law is challenged to create structures and rules at least nationally, but also at European and global level, that can promote and maintain social coexistence.
main topic
For the first time, we would like to supplement the general theme with a focus panel that will address one facet of the general theme, namely the interaction between anti-discrimination and procedural law. Diversity and equality dominate a politically charged debate that focuses on the reduction of discrimination while the polarization of society in Germany continues. The focus aims to examine whether and, if so, what contribution procedural law can make to anti-discrimination and where it may even reinforce discriminatory structures. The panel offers space for new and unusual ideas and approaches as well as for descriptive contributions and inventories.
submission modalities
We would like to bring these topics to life at the 11th Procedural Law Conference , which will take place from September 5 to 6, 2025 at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . We are therefore looking forward to receiving offers of lectures from legal scholars from academia and practice or related sciences from every career phase and are accepting exposés of around 500 words outlining a twenty-minute lecture by email to [email protected] by January 31, 2025. Please indicate whether you would like the lecture to be included under the general topic or under the main topic. You will receive a confirmation of receipt and a response by February 28, 2025. Efforts are currently being made to obtain financial support for travel and accommodation costs.
All presentations will be published in the Journal for Procedural Law (GVRZ) following the conference.
