Call for Papers: in Doctoral Seminar on South Asian and Himalayan studies on 13 February 2025
The Association Jeunes Études Indiennes (AJEI) and the Centre for South Asian and Himalayan Studies (CESAH) are pleased to invite submissions for their next Doctoral Seminar, to be held on 13 February 2025 at Campus Condorcet, Paris. This unique day provides PhD students working in the field of South Asian and Himalayan studies a platform to showcase their research and engage the conversation with senior scholars from multiple disciplines. Therefore, this meeting is an opportunity to :
Explore emerging trends, niche studies, and innovative methodologies in Indian Studies ;
Assess the interests and key topics of the moment to guide the future trajectory of the association ;
Promote diversity, inclusion, and interdisciplinarity while embracing AJEI and CESAH’s long-standing values of collaboration and scholarly exchange. We invite abstracts on any topic relevant to Indian Studies, including but not limited to:
Ongoing or completed research projects.
Fieldwork insights and innovative methodologies.
Contemporary societal, cultural, political, or historical issues in India or South Asia.
