Call for Papers: INSOL Academic Colloquium, 22-23 May 2025
“The Future of Insolvency Law”
We are delighted to announce that the next INSOL International Academic Colloquium will be held on 22-23 May 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The INSOL International Academic Colloquium will be preceded by the INSOL Early Research Academics (INSOL ERA) Annual Workshop held on 21 May 2025.
The colloquium will focus on new trends and developments in insolvency law, as well as general challenges and perspectives on comparative and international insolvency law. We particularly welcome submissions analyzing any of the following topics:
• Arbitration, mediation and insolvency
• Valuation and financial issues in corporate reorganizations
• ESG and insolvency
• Insolvency law in emerging economies
• Corporate groups and insolvency
• Cross-border insolvency
• Distressed M&A
• Harmonization of insolvency laws, global trends and legal transplants
The Academic Colloquium will be open to full-time academics. Nonetheless, part-time researchers, as well as practitioners, regulators, judges and policymakers interested in participating in the Academic Colloquium can also submit their expressions of interest to present a paper. The expression of interest to present a paper or work-in-progress at the INSOL Academic Colloquium should be sent to Hatty Norman ([email protected]),
The expression of interest, along with the accompanying information mentioned above, should be submitted by 15 January 2025. Papers accepted for presentation will be notified by 15 February 2025. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
