About the Programme
The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Bharatiya Gyan Parampara provides a comprehensive examination of India’s historical wisdom, in accordance with the objectives of NEP-2020 to amalgamate traditional knowledge with contemporary education. The Bharatiya Gyan Parampara is grounded in holistic growth and derives from foundational writings such as the Vedas, Darshans, and many philosophical systems, covering a broad spectrum of disciplines vital for human advancement. The ancient Indian education system recognised 64 essential Kalas (arts), each intended to cultivate a well-rounded individual. India has pioneered advances in various domains that continue to impact contemporary science and humanities.
