Nomination of candidates for the University of Oslo Human Rights Award 2025

The University of Oslo invites organizations, associations and individuals to nominate candidates (individuals or organizations) for the 2024 University of Oslo Human Rights Award, Lisl and Leo Eitinger fund. The deadline is 15 March 2025.
The award is presented annually in recognition of personal efforts and active involvement in one or more human rights areas. The prize is awarded by the University of Oslo board on the recommendation of a Human Rights Award committee chaired by the university’s vice-rector. The prize is 10,000 Euros.
How to nominate candidates
Candidate proposals must be submitted in an online form (link for submission below).
Nominations must contain a justification for why the person or organization is considered a good candidate for this human rights award. Also include a description of how the person or organization works for human rights as well as links to articles where relevant.

The Award Ceremony
The award will be presented in connection with Oslo Peace Days in December 2025.
