Call for Papers: Queen Mary Postgraduate Legal Research Conference 2025, 18-19 June 2025

“Law and Inclusivity”

AT- Graduate Centre, QMUL, Mile End, London (E1 4NS)

The Queen Mary Annual PhD Law Conference 2025, in association with the Queen Mary Law Journal, invites papers that examine the relationship between law and inclusion. Although law is sometimes framed as a means of promoting inclusion, it has also contributed to entrenching elitism, exclusion and inequality. We therefore welcome papers that explore the potential of the law to promote inclusion, as well as those that question its role in reinforcing systems of power and exclusion in different social and cultural contexts. The conference aims to provide a platform for a robust discourse on inclusion, diversity, equality and non-discrimination in law and society, bringing together diverse voices and perspectives from across legal and related disciplines.

Organised by: 2025 Conference Organising Committee comprising more than 9 QMUL law PhD students facilitated by Nicolás Rodríguez and Jones Abanda.
