Call for paper: Epigenetic regulation in metabolic diseases

Epigenetic regulation in metabolic diseases

Changes in epigenetic regulation have been found in multiple metabolic diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and osteoporosis. However, how these epigenetic changes in the different organs and tissues relate to pathogenesis, and how they interact with the genetic and environmental factors that also contribute to disease remains unknown. Understanding the effects of changes in epigenetic regulation in metabolic diseases and their complications will aid diagnosis and the development of new treatments.

This Collection welcomes original research articles that advance our understanding of the role of epigenetic regulation in metabolic diseases.
