Call for Submissions: Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP), Submission Deadline: 23 May 2025
The Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP) welcomes article submissions from undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), PhD scholars, and working professionals that explore topics related to development and policy issues. We invite contributors from all academic levels to share their perspectives and insights on the issues that matter most to the community, including but not limited to health equity, gender justice, human rights, and sustainable development goals.
May – June 2025 Topic: Women in Agriculture and Rural Livelihoods: Challenges, Contributions, and Policy Pathways
Women play a central yet often invisible role in agriculture and rural economies, especially in the Global South. From sowing and harvesting to managing livestock and sustaining household nutrition, rural women are integral to food systems. Yet, their contributions frequently go unrecognized and unrewarded due to entrenched gender norms, inequalities in land ownership, and inadequate policy support. This call for submissions invites critical explorations into the socio-economic, environmental, and institutional dimensions shaping the lives and livelihoods of women in agriculture.
