Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft critical documents such as plaints, written statements, affidavits, and applications specific to the civil suit, ensuring precision, compliance with civil procedure, and alignment with case strategy.
- Conduct in-depth research on relevant statutes, case laws, and legal precedents using platforms like Manupatra, SCC Online, and Indian Kanoon to build a robust foundation for the civil suit’s arguments and claims.
- Take a lead role in preparing and organizing documents for filing the civil suit in court, ensuring adherence to procedural timelines, e-filing requirements, and court-specific protocols.
- Review and revise drafts of the plaint and related documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards, minimizing errors that could impact the suit’s outcome.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive case files for the civil suit, track progress, and prepare detailed summaries to support the legal team’s strategy and decision-making.
- Assist with scheduling court-related activities, coordinating with external stakeholders (e.g., court officials, clients), and managing administrative tasks directly tied to the civil suit.
- Anticipate challenges in the suit’s preparation or filing process, proactively addressing them through research, consultation, or alternative approaches under guidance.
Eligibility
- Law Graduate
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program (3-year or 5-year) or equivalent.
- Advanced legal studies (e.g., LLM) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, and experience or familiarity with drafting plaints, legal notices, and other civil suit documents.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research, analyze case laws, and apply findings to strengthen the civil suit’s legal arguments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to produce precise, professional, and persuasive legal documents critical to the suit’s success.
- Prior internship or work experience in civil litigation, particularly in drafting plaints or assisting with suit filings in Indian courts.
- Familiarity with Telangana court procedures, e-filing systems, and local legal practices, though not mandatory.
- Knowledge of specific legal areas relevant to the civil suit (e.g., contract disputes, property law, or torts, depending on the case).
