21st Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition on lnternational Humanitarian Law will be held in physical mode from 2fth to 25th September 2022.
Objective:
The aim of the 2fi22 Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition remains to promote awareness and understanding of lnternational Humanltarian Law (lHL) among the law students and law faculties in India. This Moot Court Competition has been providing over the years an ample opportunity for the law students of this country to get a better understanding of IHL through contact with theorists and practitioners, and to become acquainted with the practical application and enforcement of this important area of law. The problem prepared for the Moot Court is normally based on contemporary issues of. and challenges to lHL. Participation in the Moot Court involves a thorough research and detailed study of ll-ll- treaties including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their 1977 AdCiticnal Protocols, and the rules of customary law applicable to this area.
Important Date
The memorials and counter memorials (online) shall be submitted on or before 16th September 2022 at the lSlL address. More details will be provided for the conduct of the competition after the submission of memorials.
The organizing committee will provide details of the stay arrangement of the participating teams for the duration of the competition.
