About the CCWS
“Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” is the motto of the Centre for Child and Woman Studies. It is a specialized research Centre established by Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, for conducting socio-legal research in the field of rights of women and children. The Centre is created to assist the governments in making better laws and policies pertaining to women’s and children’s rights. The Centre aims to serve as a research and training centre in the field of development of women and children. It further aims to initiate and promote regional, national, and international, collaboration and fund-raising for the cause of women and children.
About the JCCWS
HPNLU Journal of Child and Women Studies is a peer-reviewed journal proposed to be published by the CCWS, HPNLU, Shimla. The maiden volume of the Journal is proposed to be published annually, online and open access journal. The Journal is envisioned to study, analyze, develop, and advance knowledge on legal and jurisprudential issues with an inter-disciplinary perspective keeping Children and Women issues as the focal point.

The Centre for Child and Woman Studies hereby invite scholarly articles for its maiden peer- reviewed Journal- HPNLU Journal of CCWS that shall be published in the upcoming issues.

Theme
The Journal invites contributions on the subject areas focusing on: Children and Women issues. The growth of a nation sans the development of women and children is nothing but a myth. To act as a catalyst in the holistic amelioration of the status quo, this journal invites scholarly articles, theoretically refined, and empirically grounded in the field of children and women’s studies including but not limited to the complex theoretical and empirical relationship between women and the society, the diversity within the national and transnational contexts worldwide influencing women and children, among others. Inter-disciplinary studies are promoted, and contemporary topics of socio-economic relevance are suggested to the writers.
