Competition Cell, Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University, is organising an international webinar on the topic “Administration then & administration now: The changing role of police administration in India” with Dr. Kiran Bedi, Retd. IPS and the former 24th Lt. Governor of Puducherry.
About The Webinar
The webinar is being conducted to foster the interest of the students by making them interact with Dr. Kiran Bedi, the highest serving authority well known in India so that the students can get a practical aspect and a fair perception about the prevailing problems in the administration along with the required solutions and her experiences. It will also help them in enhancing their analysing skills and provide a more intrinsic view in regards to police administration during the Indira Gandhi time period and also the current time period. The webinar is expected to provide deep insights on the given topic.
About The Speaker
Dr. Kiran Bedi is the very first woman who joined the officer ranks in Indian Police Service and also served the United Nation as civilian police advisor in peace keeping organizations. She had also authored numerous books telling the ground realities of governance as followed by the time when she was serving as the 24th Lt. Governor of Puducherry.
